She's coming home

My daughter Maggie, up front, is coming home from Texas tomorrow. She graduated top of her class, she got her looks and smarts from me. Ready to have the turd back with us.

She'll be based out of birmingham. She's wanting to go to Guam. There's a base there and my grand deddy fought there so she wants to go look around. Strong headed girl, been in a little trouble already several times for her mouth , but it was for reasons we all could agree on.

My daughter was in Guam for 3 years. Hated it. She’s in California now Camp Pendleton, she loves it there.

I spent 3 years on Guam bringing the telecom infrastructure into the 20th century. I hated it but it's somewhat an interesting place. LOTS of Japanese tourists if the economy in Japan is doing well. The younger generation of Chamoros (locals) on the island don't like Americans but sure do love our $$$. Everything there is ridiculously expensive because they produce nothing and everything is shipped in. You can buy real, 24K gold there at lots of different places and I brought some Thai gold back. Scuba diving is pretty good if the seas don't have stuff stirred to bad. It's typhoon season right now and that's a whole nuther experience.

You've got a smart girl there, Spud, and I'm sure she can make the best of any situation/place. You're a blessed man, my friend!
