Deader than a hammer
But sure was peaceful and quiet last evening. No deer seen but the squirrels came out in force just before dark.

And the creeks were definitely up! My muck boots are still water proof!

I love a nice hardwood stand! When everything is perfectly still it brings out a really peaceful feeling all around.
And it's good to have waterproof boots with no holes! That can make for a peaceful feeling, too!

It was definitely a relaxing evening! Wish I could just make myself go more when I finally do get a chance to go!

You should go Friday morning. Everything/everybody else is gonna be froze to something so you'll have it all to yourself

I think the coldest I've hunted on my place out on the mtn was just down to 12 degrees. Killed a buck a couple times with it that cold. Had to break the ice in the creek to wash my knife and hands off.
