I love this site but...
I'm ready to blow it up!!!!
How can we get new members.
I think there is plenty of room for different sites on the web and don't want to pirate other sites.
Any ideas?

Some sort of membership drive ??? I know a lot of of older hunters up my way way, that would love to be a part of this, but unfortunately they're computer challenged and somewhat intimidated by it. Plus right now everyone is planning vacations and such. But as summer moves along everyone starts to get that fire burning. That's a tough call.

Advertising.....Pass out coozies...hats...decals... Give em away at fishing tournaments.... Add them to the door prizes.... There are several fairly inexpensive ways to promote....

Just throwing this out here. Since you guys have the ads up and going...why not hit the mom and pop hunting and fishing stores and offer them a free ad in return for a HFQ sign somewhere. It doesn't have to be just a sports store...It could be a market where hunters eat lunch. Lot's of places. Double T's idea is great also. Off the top of my head, I thought of 5 places here in Blount County to ask...And i don't care one bit to ask them for you guys.

First off, and this is jmo, the existing members have to post. Just checking in every 3-4 days don't doesn't contribute to the activity of the site, viewed from other potential, or existing members. And not just in the gen forum. Plenty of forums for different discussions but they hardly see any activity at all anymore. I know we all don't share the very same interests, but a visit and/or comment on other threads in other forums would likely help create a little more interest and traffic. That's all I got.

Ok so the way I found tndeer was google. I had just started hunting and was looking for help and searched hunting forum Tennessee. Found them and the rest is history. Just relooked that up and this site is like the 8th look down. Spend some time talking to them and try to get bumped up the list. I think the internet can be your best friend/worst enemy. Could also look at making a Facebook/instagram page to help this one grow. For instagram for example have people send you buck pictures with the understanding that you will put your logo on the pic and post a different one daily. Start following other hunter instagram and correspond with them and get them to share your pics or give them a hat and see if they'll take a pic in it. There are plenty of unknown hunters with 5-10k followers because they know what they're doing

I think this is a great idea! I think putting our logo in mom and pop shops will bring in a few new members but I think to get active members we need to find members who use the internet and social media on a daily basis.Inkstainz wrote:Ok so the way I found tndeer was google. What is a price you would pay for a good hat?
