I entered this picture in a contest on another site and actually tied for 1st place with it! I lost the tie breaker and ended up in 2nd place but I still won a free Coleman lantern! I campaigned pretty hard honestly to get the votes, I wish we had took a little more time with the photo arrangement, lighting, and photoshopping though.

Congrats! That's a nice collection! I've only been aware of this hobby for a couple of years but I've seen pics on other sites of nice collections as well. Some guys are WAY deep into searching out the more elusive lanterns. I reckon our first stove and lantern came along around 1970. No idea what ever became of them but I had others afterwards.

I REALLY like your wood stove too!
The older I get the more I understand why roosters just scream to start their day.

Thanks guys! I blame Shane for this addiction! Ive always liked lanterns but I went to a "meet" back in the summer and the fire got lit! At the time I went, I think I had 3 lanterns and 3 stoves. Now Im up to around 50 lanterns and 6 or 8 stoves.
Theres some really rare lanterns in that pic, I just brought down some of the better, more rare ones. 200 burgundy, 237s, 220bs, Canadians, a gold bond, 200a, etc....

LOL if you do that, Ive got a buddy that just wont understand! Hes a yankee, I only have one or 2 buddies that are yankees, but they just dont understand how things work down here! He gets pissed off every time somebody gives me a lantern! .rolling. I like him so Ive tried to help
him fit in but its not gonna happen! FRIENDS have gave me probably $1000 worth of lanterns and he doesnt understand WHY. Ive tried to explain it to him, if you can help somebody or make them happy, DO IT! It will come back to you 10X over. Maybe not from that person, but somebody will return the favor to you 10x over what you did for somebody else. That and "its not what you know, its WHO that gets you places".
