Here is the problem

Post by leader »

No one will do anything!!!!

Neighbor calls wife " there is a poacher on your land, clear as day and truck parked and end of road"
Wife calls our TWRA officer, no answer.
She calls the Sheriffs department but they will not remove him because we are not there ( We work and are out of area today). Dispatch did say they will send deputy out to inform them they are on marked private property IF they can see them.
This really PISSES me off, we are working but some ahold can watch our driveway and see when we leave and then go hunt because TWRA won't answer the phone and the Sheriffs department can't do anything if we aren't there.
This is the second time I have called TWRA on a poacher. The first time they told me they were running for I deer and too busy to come to my property.
This SUX
rant over

:( . That's a pain in the rear for sure.

Our wildlife officer won't answer his phone you have to leave a message and then he will call you back. I understand your frustration leader.

Seems to me the deputy should run the plate and maybe wait at the truck...Trespassing is trespassing whether they are hunting or not....

Have you tried calling TWRA upper office, Nashville maybe, and ask them why the officers won't answer the freaking phone? Then ask what are you supposed to do? I would let them know how pissed I am. :x

Well after initial rush of frustration, Agent did call back as well as a deputy. They both came up, hour later and I guess the neighbor spooked the scum and he was gone. Both were very nice to my wife and TW agent said "yep you clearly have it marked( recently have been within on this) and I will prosecute if I catch anyone in their".

Good thing is it's a dead end road so hopefully everyone saw the parade of TW agent and Sheriff patrol ride through.

Can you believe a a dude just pulls down a dead end road that is marked everywhere private and parks. Pulls out a lawn chair, goes to edge of a powerline and starts hunting? He was wearing orange the neighbor said

I had a similar situation in McNairy Co. a couple years ago. My son caught a trespasser parked on a trail on our property about 75' off the road. He parked in a spot where he couldn't be seen from the road. No one was with the truck when my son found it so he started taking pics and texting them to me.
Several minutes later dude shows up and my son asked him what he's doing. He said the water pump went out and he parked his truck. :?
I call the sheriffs office and tell them we caught a trespasser and wanted to prosecute him. Sheriffs office says they cant do anything if I am not there. WHAT? My son is there. They said it doesn't matter. They said I had to meet them. Well I was over 2 hours away at a minimum so we had to let the guy go. Boy was I pissed!
We did get enough information from my sons pics to find out who the guy was and where he lived. Also checked on him and he had no criminal record.
"Take me hunting daddy!"
